If you want to know why I LOVE planned elopements, look no further than Leah and Luke’s beautifully sweet celebration in Wicker Park. I had been looking forward to meeting this couple from the moment I first connected with Leah. She and Luke were so down to earth and were just excited to be able to share this weekend and these memories with their families.

The group made the trek from Canada down to Chicago, with a wonderful weekend itinerary including a boat tour and lunch at Avec. Yum! We began with portraits in Lincoln Park before heading to Wicker Park to capture a bit of the neighborhood. We then made our way to The Robey for their intimate rooftop ceremony.

Leah and Luke prove that you can plan an intimate event without sacrificing on style or ‘epicness’ 🙂 Especially in a city like Chicago, where there are so many spots, like The Robey, with incredible views that will be memorable and beautiful. Be creative and ask around. You’re bound to find a location that will make your day feel completely luxurious.

On top of finding an amazing location, Leah and Luke looked perfectly chic and stylish. They also invested smartly in quality florals and professional hair and makeup. Both of which I HIGHLY recommend to anyone planning an intimate vow exchange. Because regardless of the size of your event, your marriage is a big deal and should be approached with a sense of respect. I think especially in the case of intimate elopements, you have such a unique story to tell about the day you exchanged vows. So you might as well make sure that you are proud to flaunt those photos and tell everyone all about it 🙂
