The never-ending winter that has cursed April here in Chicago was in full force this past weekend for Mackenzie and Alex’s engagement session. On top of it being unseasonably cold, we were also faced with a brutal wind and the looming threat of rain. But holy moly, you’d never know it with how well these two rocked the session!
Our initial plan was to do photos by the Wrigley Building and the Riverwalk, to show off all the lovely charm of Chicago. But Chicago had other plans ๐ The wind and rain was too strong in that area so we decided to move to a more covered location, the Civic Opera House. As luck would have it, the rain stopped by the time we got there so we were able to take advantage of the surrounding locations, which turned out to be some of my new favorite spots!
I had so much fun exploring this little corner with Mackenzie and Alex, and of course ducking into the opera house to warm up every now and then ๐ It’s so wonderful to work with couples who are willing to change plans on the fly and make the most of a less-than-ideal day!
Mackenzie and Alex, thanks for being so fabulous! Enjoy these sneak peeks!
