I’ve got a super cute and cozy winter anniversary session for you today! One of my favorite parts of heading home for the holidays is getting to photograph some of the sweet couples in my family year after year. It’s so much fun getting to shoot in Virginia for a change (such a gorgeous state if you haven’t been there!) and exploring different landscapes. I also got to play around with a new film stock and YOWZA do I love the tones it created!

We lucked out with an incredibly gorgeous evening – both in terms of light and temperature. We decided to shoot at Yorktown Beach which is full of lovely spots. For this time of year I was feeling particularly inspired by the textures and colors of the rocks lining the river, ESPECIALLY when paired with those earthy neutral tones in Megan and Jeremy’s outfits, so I wanted to keep our focus on that area. I am absolutely obsessed with the color palette and textures of all of these images.

I always love the way these two interact with each other and can always count on Jeremy making Megan laugh! They brought along a cute blanket to add to the coziness. I love all the close-up cuddly photos and blankets definitely are a great way to force some cuddles 🙂
