Meet Nicole

Hey y'all! I'm Nicole & I capture authentic moments for classically elegant, unconventionally adventurous couples who believe in stylish simplicity.

Langham Chicago Brunch Wedding | Chantal & Mohamed

Weddings

Can I just go ahead and say that I’m officially obsessed with brunch weddings? It was such a fun, relaxed atmosphere and who wouldn’t get excited about a buffet full of chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits and all the classic brunch favorites?! Chantal and Mohamed planned an absolutely perfect day for their guests and I think it’s safe to say everyone had an amazing time celebrating these two!

The Venue

You guys. I truly cannot say enough good things about the Langham. From the staff to the venue itself, every element exceeded my expectations and I would HIGHLY recommend you booking them now for your wedding! This place checks virtually everything off my lists in terms of what I look for (and encourage my couples to look for) in a space to ensure good photos:

  • A stunning, light, bright bridal suite
  • A stunning, light, bright ceremony/reception space
  • Stunning options right outside for outdoor portraits (i.e., we don’t have to go anywhere far to get amazing photos!)
  • Stunning options inside for portraits in the event of rain

And on top of that, they have a professional and courteous team of pros involved in your day, their food is divine, and they treated all of us vendors so wonderfully.

GO BOOK THEM NOW. And do yourself a favor and strongly consider having a brunch wedding. I can’t even explain how awesome (and unique) the food was. Plus the light in this space during a daytime wedding is to die for. Just saying!

The Groom

Mohamed has such a natural GQ vibe and is truly one of the kindest souls you will ever meet. You’d never know the day was about him with how often he was checking in on his guests and even his vendors to make sure everyone was having a wonderful time. He looked sharp as can be in his blue patterned jacket, classic black bow tie and fitted black pants. I’m a huge fan of guys using a different colored jacket in their ensemble! It adds a fun, personalized twist on a classic look.

The Bride

If there’s an opposite of a bridezilla, Chantal is the definition of it! She was completely relaxed throughout the morning and was just excited to celebrate with everyone. She looked absolutely radiant in her flowy A-line gown. I loved the detailing on the bodice and the straps. And then she added in her long statement veil with the lace edges and she looked like true royalty! She opted for a loose updo with pieces framing her face which gave her such effortlessly chic style. Her makeup was natural and flawless, with a little bit of pop around those gorgeous brown eyes of hers.

The Portraits

Like I said, you don’t have to go much further than the front door to find perfect city backdrops for portraits. We had a CHILLY morning on our hands but when there’s no rain (or snow at this time of year) in Chicago, we will gladly take it! After a sweet first look between Chantal and Mohamed, their wedding party joined in the fun. Such a fun, sweet group of friends and family these two have!

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place a ballroom with beautiful chandeliers and floor to ceiling windows. The Langham likes to infuse some wow factor into the day so we kept the curtains closed for the reception, keeping things more intimate and softly lit by candles and the glowy chandeliers. Then for the reception, they opened everything up letting all the beautiful light in and wowing the guests with the views of the city and the river!

And just a side note: Willrett Flower Co. CRUSHED it with these florals, y’all. I cannot even handle how pretty Chantal’s bouquet is. And then the floral installation for the ceremony & reception was perfection – blending classic green and white with a very whimsical and textured vibe. And then the simple greenery at the centers of the guests tables was just the right touch of a soft natural element in the midst of a dramatic, modern room.

The Reception

The reception was LOADS of fun! First there was that stunner of a cake – those colors and textures are just WOW. Then a couple of sweet speeches and the first dance. And finally, the dance floor. Chantal and Mohamed’s guests know how to work the dance floor – this was such a fun crowd and I could have honestly had an entire blog post dedicated just to their dance floor!

The bride and groom were all smiles all day long and I loved watching them have the time of their lives after all the planning and prepping they had done!

Congrats C&M! It was truly an honor to celebrate with you! Enjoy these highlights!
